Grant Programs

For nearly 50 years, our Fundholders' generous contributions have enabled us to mold Miami's brilliant future through grantmaking.  We have granted more than $200 million in our history to foster a better quality of life for all Miamians.

GLBT Community Projects Fund

The GLBT Community Projects Fund is a unique partnership between The Miami Foundation and the National LGBTQ Task Force to support organizations and programs that advance education and public awareness of gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender issues in Greater Miami.

We are currently accepting proposals for the 2016 GLBT Community Projects Fund. Proposals are due by Thursday, July 28 at 4 p.m.

Community Grants

Through this signature grant program, the Foundation honors more than 100 donors who created permanently endowed funds with the Foundation.  We use the 2014 Our Miami Report in tandem with our Fundholders’ intent to connect their philanthropic legacies with issues currently impacting our community’s quality of life.

Denise Moon Memorial Fund

Denise Moon grants allow us to help nonprofits assist victims of crime, reduce crime in communities and provide alternatives to criminal activity through job training, educational attainment and other efforts. These grant awards are made possible thanks to a partnership with the Miami-Dade Office of the State Attorney, 11th Judicial Circuit.
