To apply for a scholarship, please read the following instructions:

For most of our scholarships, we have moved to an online application system.  You will need a user name and password to log in our online system and apply for some of the scholarships listed below.  To create a new user name and password, please click “new user registration” in the login box at the bottom of this page.  If you already have a user name and password, please sign in to access an application form.

Jacki Tuckfield Memorial Graduate Business Scholarship

Drs. Jack and Gloria Tuckfield established the Jacki Tuckfield Memorial Graduate Business Scholarship to honor the extraordinary life and achievements of their daughter Jacki. Jacki aspired for a better life through academic, spiritual and professional achievements. Business scholarships are awarded to African American students who plan to pursue a professional career in South Florida. This year, the Jacki Tuckfield Memorial Graduate Business Scholarship Fund will provide $44,000 in tuition awards.

Judge Sidney M. Aronovitz Memorial Scholarship

The Aronovitz Family partnered with The Miami Foundation to honor the memory of the late Judge Sidney M. Aronovitz. Judge Aronovitz stood as an example for the community, excelling in his chosen profession and always thinking of those less fortunate than himself. Scholarships are awarded to Miami-Dade County minority students planning to continue their education through the university level.

Alan R. Epstein ‘Reach for the Stars’ Scholarship

The Epstein family established the Alan R. Epstein ‘Reach for the Stars’ Scholarship to honor the life of an outstanding young man who was tragically killed in an automobile accident. Scholarships are awarded to students who have overcome life's obstacles.

Rodney Thaxton Justice Scholarship
Martin E. Segal Scholarship

The Rodney Thaxton Justice Scholarship was established to honor the memory of a great social advocate. Scholarships are awarded to African-American students who are committed to social justice. Martin E. Segal, a lawyer and lecturer, established the Martin E. Segal Fund to augment the annual scholarship granting of the Rodney Thaxton Justice Fund.

Give Kids a Chance Scholarship

The Give Kids a Chance Scholarship was established by Brian McDonough, Esq. to support children of lower-income families. Scholarships are awarded to high school seniors desiring to continue their education but need additional financial assistance to do so. Recipients are eligible for additional awards given they maintain full-time status and meet academic requirements.

Jackie Eads Scholarship

Miami Coral Park Senior High alumni established the Jackie Eads Scholarship to honor her 43 year service to the Miami-Dade County public school system. Jackie served as the Student Activities Director for 39 years. Scholarships are awarded Miami Coral Park students who personify Jackie’s ideals of character, leadership, academic excellence and service to others.

Joe McNulty Memorial Scholarship

Joe McNulty’s family and friends established the Joe McNulty Memorial Scholarship to honor his 43 year service to the Miami-Dade County public school system. Joe served as Miami Coral Park Senior High School assistant principal for more than 25 years.

College Assistance Program (CAP, Inc.)

CAP, Inc. provides scholarships to Miami-Dade County Public High School graduates who have exhausted all avenues of financial assistance (federal, state and institutional), but still have significant unmet needs to attend the college of their choice.
